Sailortown Sea Monster

This is a vibrant mural painted across the front of a two-storey building, incorporating the windows and doors into its design. The artwork transforms the façade into a whimsical, dreamlike river scene, blending fantasy elements with urban architecture.

The mural features a row of magenta and purple-toned buildings set against a dramatic teal sky streaked with swirling white and pink clouds. To the right, a church with a rose window and tall spire anchors the composition, giving the setting a sense of place.

In the lower part of the mural, a large wooden boat occupies the foreground, floating on stylised turquoise water. Tentacles of a sea creature—perhaps a kraken—emerge from the water, playfully curling toward the boat and buildings. There’s also a small octopus-like creature with big eyes and an expressive face beneath the boat.

On the left side, a pink elephant is partially submerged, adding a surreal touch. The mural cleverly integrates the building's features: windows become part of the painted structures, and the central door blends into the scene.
